'Cultures are not meant to be gate-kept': Students explore with Davenport, Bettendorf Diversity Clubs
This was Nolan's first year taking part in a Carpenter's House building event, and he really enjoyed it. Nolan explains learning to use power tools and staining his bed was his favorite part of the project. When asked if he would do it again, he responded, "Yes, one hundred percent!"
The Carpenter's House is hosting a FREE 2024 Summer build project for kids ages 10-16. Each participant will be instructed on how to build their own wooden bed frame. The program starts on July 25th and runs through the 27th.

This was Payton's second year taking part in a Carterper's House building event, and she was very excited to take another challenge. Payton took pride in sanding her project and even worked to help other kids with sanding and staining. When asked if she would recommend this program for others, she said, "Yes I do, because it's fun."
